WOW! How time flys!!!

Well a lot has happened in the past 3 weeks including a trip to Crested Butte, celebrating my 40th birthday with my mom coming to visit from Ohio, one of my best friends moved to Colorado Springs, relaxed over the long holiday 4th of July weekend which coincided with staying up at Jennie Lane (in between tenants), watching fireworks in Nederland and canoeing for the first time in our backyard at Gross Resevoir (which opened 3 summers ago to non-motorized boats). Everyday life with Leela is full of adventure and fun and she is more than willing to take on anything and everything that comes her way especially eating ice cream at our two new ice cream shops in the neighborhood - they are both yummy!!! Our garden is producing and we grilled our first zucchini last night... just wish we had planted more... I didn't know watching food grow from the ground could be so much fun... probably should have guessed after watching an incredible documentary called The Real Dirt on Farmer John - see it soon if you haven't already!! Now to the fun part - posting new pics!!!
Saw this bear on our way to CB heading over Kenosha Pass... just when we thought we were done with wildlife after our Alaska trip...

This amazing cloud was in view for quite a while during our drive... of course we weren't the only ones noticing it... many folks were out of their cars taking pics ... it kept getting more intense the longer we drove and as the sun was setting... One of many blooming flowers in CB...

Loved the peace flag flying high and Leela's new friend Allison from Salt Lake City... they had so much fun at Mickey and Andy's 10 year wedding anniversary party... wish I had taken more photos of the event... mountain meadow in CB, lots of 'sqeeters, yummy lamb roast stew and plenty of libations, waffle ball (with many competitive folks) and M&A's fun games... including Q&As about their relationship and nature, and a fun-filled competitive scavenger hunt for various mountainous items - the evening was so enjoyable hanging with M&A's friends and family... it was a treat to be included in such an amazing reaffirmation of vows...
