Not sure why this didn't post a while back... I think the upload took longer than I thought... well, it's ready for viewing... or posting I should say... hopefully along with more! OKAY I just rewatched this video and it is so funny to see Leela dance - she's got some moves!!... I think listening to R&B when she was younger is paying off... of course now we listen to kids songs most of the time... which is also fun... this blogging takes time and here it is 3:30 a.m. and I'm 'catching up' - ENJOY!!

Happy Summer Solstice!
We are heading to Crested Butte for the weekend and summer solstice... friends are celebrating their 10th wedding anniversary ... and one of my best friends is moving to Colorado Springs this weekend... actually driving from the east coast and arrived yesterday!! Can't wait to see you Cathy and looking forward to making many more memories together ... Welcome to Colorado!

Fun at the Aquarium
UGGGGGG!!!!
Leela and I made it to the Aquarium on Monday and had a fun time...it's great having a membership to cruise thru and spend more time at the sites you love... like the tiger(s)!!! This guy is 3 yrs. old just like Leela... we spent Leela's 3rd birthday at the Aquarium with alot of her friends... she spends much time talking about that birthday party and wanting to go back to the Aquarium with her friends... life is all about playing... as it should be when you're 3!!! We went to the Children's Museum this morning and had fun, but no pictures were taken as we had to rush around before heading to school and work in the afternoon... Leela is growing up so fast... she's having so many 'BIG' girl days these days... meaning no pee-pee accidents... she's getting very excited for Grandma Joyce's visit next week... it's all about being a BIG girl and getting gifts from Grandma! Well, we are trying to keep up with the garden and weeding and also maintaining some sanity after work so we've been cruising the neighborhood on our bikes in the evenings... it's been very relaxing and energizing seeing off of the local gardens and flowers... looking forward to more evenings and sunsets...

Happy Father's Day!!
Spent Father's Day having lots of fun ... We ate a terrific brunch with Brian's parents at Vita's then had some yummy ice cream/gelato at our newest addition to the neighborhood - Red Trolley. It was a wonderful time with Brian's parents ... we closed the day with some friends/neighbors by going to the playground, flying kites, eating dinner and more ice cream... I think we went to Red Trolley a total of 3 times this weekend... hmmm.... wonder if they are open now... Happy Father's Day to all the dad's out there... talked with my dad who lives in California and haven't called my uncle yet, who helped show me the 'ropes' to growing up... you know "No such thing as a free lunch" and after having my heart broken in high school... "You'll meet 100 boys before you find the right one..." well, I've found the 'right' one and he is an INCREDIBLE daddy to Leela... Happy Father's Day sweetie!! Lots of Love!! June 14, 2008
Alaska '08
Well, we made it to Alaska as a family and had a great time - saw lots of wildlife and loved the scenery!! Lots of water and lots of BIG mountains!! We met many nice folks, including a character in Seward who grew up in Upper Arlington, OH, has lived in Coal Creek Canyon (and Ward for you CO folks!), and had an AWESOME restuarant called The Smoke Shack! I wish we would have gotten his picture! Anyhoop, we made it to Denali, Seward and Homer... loved each one and thought about buying some real estate... we'll see...

Leela had some "Grizzly Bear" pancakes at The Smoke Shake ... yum, yum... cinnamon and powdered sugar underneath and chocolate chips inside and yes that is one huge dollop of butter for the nose! Did I mention we saw wildlife including bears (black and brown), moose, eagles, owls, whales (orca and humpback), sea lions, tons o' birds, dall sheep, moutain goats, snowshoe hair bunnies, sea otters, and caribou!
